My family's Heritage




Why I started this website... Some families know a great deal about their roots; others know very little. This site is an attempt to record what I've learned about our family history. I have learned some information about our family but I would love to learn more and that is why this site is here. So if we can help each other discovery our geneology that would mean the time put into this website was worth it. I started researching our family about four or five years ago, and I started this site about two years ago. I haven't had money to do research so I have come to learn how to use all the free sources around me. Since starting this website I have come across a lot more information then I could have ever imagined. I'm still in the process of adding information. I hope that some day I will get the site semi completed, I have mainy pages that don't even have links or information on them.......I'm a full time college student and I have a part time job so that doesn't leave much time for hobbies.

A Special Thanks

If it wasn't for my Grandmother Mrs. Margaret Davies Cheney-Morin I would not know anything about my heritage. She has helped me as much as she possibly could she let me pick her brain for all the memories that she has collected over the years. Unfortuntely those memories only go back to my great-great-grandparents, but hey it's a start!!!

Since I put this site on the web I have come across some living family members and I must thank two in perticular for sending me some family photos that I had never seen before. So thank you Lester Davies Hayes, Jr. and Douglas Waterman Hayes! You have been a big help!!!
